Last night I went to Casa del Artista on Main and 3rd to bid our farewells (and by our I mean the roots music community in Vancouver) to Roger Dean Young who is moving to Victoria with his wife and daughter. It was a lovely night, a bunch of us took turns playing some tunes, including The Neins Circa, Kingsway, The Great Outdoors and many more. Ya know, there are just some damn fine folks playing some damn fine music in this town.
Over the past seven months or so, I have had the pleasure of working with two fine Vancouver based singer/songwriters (Sarah MacDougall and Corbin Murdoch) on a tour of Europe called "Atlantic Crossing". We kicked off our tour at the Railway Club last Thursday and it was good times. So now I am in the spastic limbo between the tour kick off show and time I get on the plane to fly over yonder pond (only two more sleeps!)
All of our dates are listed on the events page, and you can also visit our myspace site at - www.myspace.com/atlanticcrossingthreecanadiansongwriters
Cheers!
Yonder Pond.
